The environment is uniquely tailored to its local community.
The site, located in Sebring, Florida, is a rural agricultural area. The vision for the facility was to incorporate an aesthetic fitting for the local residents, while blending the overall architectural design language with a modernized take on rural living.

It incorporates the sunny outdoors and local environment.
Rooms feature outdoor sitting areas. There are multiple common areas throughout the facility that seek to bring the beauty of Old Florida into the Somers campus. These spaces provide crucial areas for patients and staff to reflect during difficult or stressful times.

The facility promotes patient dignity and the comfort of visitors.
The rooms are designed to be large and spacious. The space is planned to incorporate a wide variety of furniture and walkways so family members are able to remain with loved ones while healthcare professionals administer palliative care.
